I want to shout from the roof tops about how very blessed I am!!!! So much good stuff happened today but I will put it out in several posts. I can’t even pick the best because all of them took more weight off my shoulders for my transcontinental walk. There are angels all around us and they pop up in mysterious ways and places. Yesterday i had an internal medicine appointment and the provider had no problems ordering 6 months of ALL my medications (which are heavier than poop – i know from Vol State last year when I was fortunate enough for Garry to carry them in the initial part of the race and then my adopted crews took care of it after that. but i was not looking forward to having to deal with six months of the medications). Today i had a new provider (I guess I ran off my last two nephrologists…lol) and not only is this guy one handsome dude but he also pared down my medicines into what i consider to be very manageable for my 6 month escapade. I am soooo very grateful because it lightens my load tremendously. Wait til you hear the other wonderful things that happened too! I am in a wonderful place right now!

  1. Dear Spuds,

I really like the sound of that! It sounds as if you are going to have a wonderful trek and finding a nephrologist (or any doc these days) willing to deprescribe some meds is a near miracle! Lucky you. Enjoy every minute of your time and real food when you get to eat again. Be sure to share pictures, others may want to follow the same trails.
