Meet “Major” – my solar panel. I had looked at them since I first decided to do this but the reviews didn’t make them seem very useful – either they didn’t work or you had to be stationary for them to work and have a lot of sunlight right on them. One of the Majors (hence the name) that is part of Operation Rawhide loaned this to me. He got it for his dad when he went to help him in Puerto Rico after the hurricane and he had nothing but accolades for it. It felt a bit too heavy for me (you all know that ounces matter) but when I tested it at work last week it seemed like the real thing so today i used it on a walk. it was overcast and yet, it charged the phone I was using to listen to my Audible books right up to 100% and it’s cool because I could put the phone in the rear pocket of Chuck and hook it to the panel and walk with it being charged yet protected. I am so very grateful to the Major who loaned this to me. Thank you and know that “Major” and I will be walking with “Chuck” all the way!
